Slabs and offcuts for sale

We sell marble, granite, quartz and other slabs, and offcuts left from bigger jobs, at 8 rue Joseph Marie Jacquard, La Chapelle-Saint-Luc. As they are, or cut to size.

Granite slabs in a stone processing plant

Slabs and offcuts

A full slab is about 3 m by 1.6 to 2 m, in 2 or 3 cm. It's the starting point for a kitchen, an island or a wall.

An offcut is what's left after a job. Often big enough for a vanity top, a coffee table, a shelf, a sill, a small splashback or a house plaque. That's where the good deals are.

Stock changes all the time, so we don't publish a list. Call 07 45 20 76 39 for what's in today. To give you an idea, our online shop listed 29 slabs in 2023, most of them marble, granite, onyx or quartz.

Taking a slab elsewhere

You can buy a slab for another fitter or your own project. Check two things first, the sizes you really need with a margin for cutting, and how it'll travel. A 3 m by 1.6 m slab in 3 cm weighs over 380 kg. It goes upright on an A-frame, never flat.

Cut to size

More often we cut it at the workshop, edge it and polish it. An offcut becomes a table top, a vanity top, a sill or an engraved plaque. The cutting is on the quote with the stone.

Coming to look

Photos give you the colour, rarely the depth of the veins or the small faults that matter on a table. Monday to Friday from 8:30, Saturday 10:00 to 16:30. Times vary by day, so call first, and bring the sizes of what you want to make.

What to check

Hold the slab to the light to look for cracks. Marble has natural lines, and some are filled with resin at the factory. A mesh glued on the back is normal on many slabs, it's there for strength. Measure the thickness yourself, a 2 cm slab can be a millimetre or two out. Only one face is polished or honed, the back is sawn.

Holding a slab

If the job is weeks away, ask us to hold it. The slab you saw may not be there next month, and another with the same name won't look the same.

For a full project, see our services or kitchen worktops.

Do you deliver?

Depends on the size and where it's going. Ask when you call and we'll put it on the quote.
