Large-format porcelain
Large-format porcelain comes in slabs of about 160 × 320 cm, 6 to 20 mm thick. We cut and fit it like our stone tops. First of all, we check a 3.2 m slab will get into your house.

What we make
Worktops, islands, one-piece splashbacks, bathroom walls with hardly any joints, cabinet fronts and tables. It has no resin, so it takes a hot pan, sun and frost, and it needs no sealer.
The edge
The pattern is printed on the surface. On a square edge or a sink cut-out you see the body of the slab, often beige or grey. For a waterfall island we mitre the edge, two slabs at 45°, or use a through-body range. The edges are brittle, so we give them a small chamfer. Over a long run, the pattern of an imitation repeats from slab to slab, and two identical slabs side by side stand out.
Thickness
12 mm for a worktop, on a flat, continuous support. 20 mm copes better with knocks and overhangs. 6 mm is for walls and furniture.
Weight and access
A 162 × 324 cm slab at 12 mm weighs about 160 kg. Two or three of us carry it with a lifting frame and suction cups. Before pricing, we measure the doors and the stairwell. If it won't fit, we cut it in two with a joint in a place we choose together. On walls, we apply adhesive to both slab and wall to avoid hollows.
Care
Ordinary household cleaner. Metal marks come off with a mild cream cleaner.

Frequently asked questions
Another question? Call the workshop: 07 45 20 76 39
How thick for a worktop?
12 mm on continuous support. 20 mm copes better with knocks and overhangs.
Why is the edge a different colour?
The pattern is printed on the surface and the edge shows the body, except on through-body ranges.
Will a slab get up my stairs?
Not always. We measure before ordering, or cut it in two with a well-placed joint.
